CK One Goes Street for Spring / Well, they wanna be…/ Fashion
This spring, hit the streets with CK One’s Street Edition. Grafitti art seems to be a trend in the beauty world as of late, but this limited-edition collection stands apart, with its bright shades, fun packaging, and girly yet edgy vibe.The inspiration? New York City graffiti artist Miss 163, also a CK One brand ambassador. Miss 163 (a.k.a. Sharon De La Cruz) is well known in the art world and uses her work to for the rights of young women and girls—addressing issues such as social justice and feminine empowerment. She’s been awarded a Fullbright grant and formed a female grafitti collective (Maripussy Crew), and she’s now involved in several programs for teens. The collection contains a line of products with street-art names: an eyeshadow quad in Vandalized; lipstick in Tagged, Painted, Punked, and Sketched; and nail-polish strips in Grafitti. The funky packaging was all designed by Miss 163 herself, and the shades are all variations of colors used in her grafitti art. And though they are certainly bright, we think they’re totally wearable—a phenomenon only CK One could pull off. If he can….
